Activities

Air Milford: Take in the spectacular views from above! The best way to see Queenstown, Doubtful sounds, Mt Cook, Steward Island, and the spectacular Milford sounds! Short Walks.  For a list of local short walks to take in the spectacular scenery we can recommend The Frankton trail (it’s on our door step), Queenstown gardens, Moke Lake, Lake Haye’s, Bob’s cove track, Jacks Point, Sunshine Bay track, The Arrowtown trail or for those of you that want some hills we can recommend Queenstown Hill, Ben Lomond track, Tiki Trail and so many more! Jet boating and water adventures: take your pick from a number of water adventures in Queenstown and please know you will get wet! Jet boat ride up the shot over or Kawarau rivers, for the dare devils Canyoning through Skippers of if you are looking for a gentler way to exercise on water, we suggest parasailing or paddle boarding.

Hot pools: here at stay we love ONSEN especially in the winter months, it is the perfect way to unwind after a day up the mountain skiing or a post hike soak, uninterrupted views over the Shotover river, lay back and take it all in  https://www.onsen.co.nz/

Mora: We know you’re not supposed to have favourite’s but if we did! For lunch in winter or summer, it can’t be beat. A 20-minute drive towards Arrowtown from our place and on a beautiful day we recommend sitting outside. 

Rata: For an all-round fantastic dining experience head to Rata, one of Queenstown’s best, some say it ‘tastes like New Zealand’. Rata is a ten-minute walk from Stay or 2-minute drive  https://www.ratadining.co.nz/

Flame:  if you love steak well Flame bar and grill classes their ribs as their hero, the food is incredible, the wine list extensive and the prawns well…. i’d eat them every night if i could  https://www.flamegrill.co.nz/

Margo’s: We can recommend the Margaritas! Margo’s has a vibrant atmosphere with great Mexican food  https://www.margos.co.nz/
