Take a scenic ride in the iconic Skyline Gondola and take in the spectacular views as you ride the steepest cable car lift in the Southern Hemisphere!

You’ll be carried 450 metres above Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu to the top of Bob’s Peak, where you’ll enjoy a spectacular 220 degree panorama with breath-taking views of Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Walter and Cecil Peak and, of course, Queenstown.

Can you walk down from Queenstown gondola?

The Tiki Trail starts at the Gondola base and ends at the Skyline complex. It is a moderate hike and requires a good level of fitness. The walk time is an estimated 45 – 65 minutes one-way depending on your level of fitness.

If you want to come down with a hiss and a roar – take the luge (our preferred way) or mountain bike, the choice is yours or for those of you that prefer an easy ride with great views it is best to buy a return Gondola ride.
